Happy Father's Day!
Haven't blogged in a while, but just wanted to give a quick re-cap of what all went on this past week or two. Last week, I went to a friend's wedding. It was so nice and of course, I cried. The church was really nice and the way they had the reception all decorated was just spectacular! Congrats Liz and Doug!!! Hope you had a nice honeymoon! You can all see a few pics at the bottom of this blog - its a mini slideshow.
I had my review this week. We won't even discuss it of what was said - that is a story for a blog later. However, I did get a raise, so that is always nice.
Mark had off this weekend and got a cheap ticket to fly out to visit me! We had so much fun and it was nice to spend time with each other. I hate that it can only be for a weekend and not everyday. One day...hopefully very soon.
We ended up going to Jedi's Garden (a restaurant by the airport that we began to like) on THursday night when he came out. Friday, we went to a local comedy club, which was crap. It looked like some hole in the wall place. Akron and Cleveland comedy clubs are so much nicer and better! Plus, I made a new recipe for Mark. It was from Rachael Ray's cookbook - it was YUM-O as she would say. Saturday we went to my assistant April's house because she was having a party for her daughter's graduation party. It was nice, they had good food and the cake was excellent. Also met a nice couple who we sat and chatted with for a couple of hours. They said we can all hang out sometime and we can go into Chicago to spend the day.
After the party, Mark and I went shopping. THey were having a big sale at New York and Company. For $100, I got so much stuff. I got 2 pairs of Capri Black pants, 2 dress shirts, a work out shirt, 2 workout jackets, 5 pairs of underware, white undershirt. Bath and Body Works was having their typical sale. I only bought 2 lotions and some hand soap. Then, I bought one shirt at Carson's. I wanted to get 2 other things but they weren't on sale and this Thursday they are having a sale when you use your Carson's card (save an additional 25% off on sale or regular priced items). I wanted to get a pair of T.H. Khaki pants that I just loved and I tried them on and they just felt comfortable.
Well, hope all is well with everyone else. Keep in touch. And of course, Happy Father's Day Dad! Love you and miss you!
